from New Mexico
The landscape is as beautiful as it is deadly.
New Mexico feels almost like another country to me. Around these parts it’s mostly small clay-based houses, careful water conservation, and old fashioned farming techniques make up for the lack of power tools.
Honestly, I’m a little culture shocked.
People tend to live without screens on the windows, without much internet (maybe a bit of Facebook), and sometimes without indoor plumbing. And yet they drive new pickup trucks and buy expensive organic food... Different priorities than a lot of Americans.
I don’t entirely understand this new place, but slowly I’ll learn.blog comments powered by Disqus
