Sunday in the Park

at Sioux Falls

Sunday morning is my day off on the farm, so I decided to go do some exploring. The nearest city is Sioux Falls, so that’s where I went.

Driving around an unfamiliar city is always a bit interesting, so one of the first things I noticed was this bit of good design:

parking

Do you see what I see? This sign spells everything out for you: where you can park, when you can park, when parking is free. These little parking lots were everywhere too, so I can’t imagine having difficulty finding parking in downtown Sioux Falls. Well done!

I’ve always been interested in architecture. Sioux Falls isn’t exactly a pinnacle of architectural achievement, but you can always find a few interesting things around:

carpenter
apartment
light
running
church
bridge

There were also little sculptures all over the place:

otter
otter2
deer

Of course I had to take some selfies:

mewindow
mepark
mefar
meweird

And I found my new favorite place to relax and work:

coffeeshop
coffeebar
coffee

It was a good day. Lesson learned: it doesn’t matter where you are, there’s always something interesting to see. Nothing is boring, except to those who aren’t really paying attention.
